  • Fast setup and modification
  • Easily share full projects or individual instruments
  • Distribute instruments as surveys
  • Mobile app for offline environments
  • Secure file storage for full projects and subjects
  • Advanced instrument features, such as: validation, calculated fields, skip logic, and calculations
  • Data quality rules to check for missing data, outliers, type validation, and calculation issues
  • Custom reporting
  • Exports to raw CSV data, as well as, SAS, Stata, R, and SPSS formats

ServiceCycleSE2-Bullet  Email and SMS Notifications

CTSI supports both email and text based notifications to study staff, participants, and monitors. This is accomplished using the base functionality of REDCap to send these messages based on a logic statement that is evaluated for each record. This can be used to create custom functions for your project. Examples can include:

  • Messages to participants according to a protocol calendar

  • Reminders to study staff if a data entry event is late or incomplete

  • Alert to a PI if an adverse event is reported; including a link where they can see the details and record any actions taken

ResearchMatch

Recruitment of volunteers is key to a successful research study but is often difficult.

ResearchMatch is a free and secure online national volunteer recruitment registry, developed by Vanderbilt University and hosted by MSU CTSI and over 210 other institutions, designed to connect people who want to participate in studies with researchers seeking study volunteers.

ResearchMatch serves several functions:

  • Study feasibility: Viewing of aggregate data to determine cohort size for study planning purposes

  • Participant recruitment: Offering study-specific information to participants who then may choose to be contacted for enrollment

To get started with using ResearchMatch please register as a researcher. Information on the process for obtaining IRB approval for use of ResearchMatch for recruitment of volunteers can be found here, or you can contact us for assistance.
