Budget Development & Negotiation
TSI works in conjunction with the HRPP Compliance office, OSP and Business CONNECT to review study protocols and help identify all potential cost items such as project or task-specific labor (FTE or hourly) and supplies. We are able to identify and obtain quotes from external and internal service providers and vendors. Projects are submitted to HRPP Compliance as part of this process if medical billable items such as blood draws, testing, or office visits are identified. Total internal costs are used as a basis for assessment of study feasibility, grant budget development, and negotiation of sponsor-initiated/funded research contracts and budgets.
When applicable, CTSI will provide negotiation services for budgets including per-visit milestone payments, invoiceable line items, per-subject payments, including negotiation of contract payment terms such as acceptable payment frequency, holdback levels and F & A rates.
