Translational Research Support Facility
CTSI has established the Translational Research Support Facility (TRSF) to provide infrastructure and support services for MSU researchers involved in all types of human studies. Researchers can initiate this process by contacting CTSI staff via this form and indicating they wish to learn more about the TRSF and its capabilities for potentially supporting their particular line of research. CTSI staff will contact and assist researchers with an initial review of project logistics and assessment of general project needs as well as those specific to possible use of TRSF services.

Study Coordination
The TRSF can provide access to professionals experienced in a variety of levels of human research. Clinical research coordination (CRC) services include study planning, regulatory documentation completion, investigator meeting attendance, study start-up and sponsor initiation visit support, participant recruitment, test administration, drug administration, source document creation, data collection, case report form completion, support of sponsor monitoring visits through study close out, and miscellaneous clinical services. The CRCs come from a variety of health backgrounds, and some are certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). The coordination needs for a specific study can be accommodated through a variety of fee schedule options.
Services/Procedures
Study coordinators and other qualified personnel can provide support for clinical assessments, dispense medications through a variety of delivery methods, and can administer tests such as ECG/EKG, spirometry, urine dipstick and urine pregnancy tests. Staffing also will be skilled in a variety of areas such as electronic data entry and administration of neurocognitive rating scales and can provide assistance with determining best methods for sample collection, processing and analysis as well as connection to other core laboratories and services.
Dedicated Research Clinic, Lab, and Sample Processing Space
CTSI has research-dedicated space that can be utilized for human research as part of the services provided by the TRSF. The space includes an outpatient exam room and storage area. An EHS-approved laboratory is available that includes a blood drawing area with instrumentation to assist in the collection, processing, storage, and shipping of research samples; access to a certified biological safety cabinet for specimen processing is available.

Our employees are for hire in our facility, in your clinic, at both on or off campus locations, as well as our ability to travel for community-based studies.
