Data Sharing

CTSI assists projects to meet their data sharing requirements based on fundamentals defined in the initial setup. We work with investigators to carefully define all the types and amount of data that will be included in the project. If a variable is being collected by our systems, it will have a defined name and associated metadata. This is used to produce data sets that are preformated for various statistical packages. The metadata can also be used to quickly generate de-identified data sets that are ready for sharing.

We also help projects by performing the extract, transformation, and load processes needed to share data through some national data archives. These national archives have required standards and structure that may not match the way a project has been designed. We create files that meet those standards and perform the upload so the study staff are able to focus on the execution of the study.
