Email and SMS Notifications
CTSI supports both email and text based notifications to study staff, participants, and monitors. This is accomplished using the base functionality of REDCap to send these messages based on a logic statement that is evaluated for each record. This can be used to create custom functions for your project. Examples can include:

Messages to participants according to a protocol calendar

Reminders to study staff if a data entry event is late or incomplete

Alert to a PI if an adverse event is reported; including a link where they can see the details and record any actions taken
