New director of CTSI, Dr. John Goudreau
We would like to introduce the director of the Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (CTSI), Dr. John Goudreau D.O., Ph.D..
Dr. Goudreau joined the MSU faculty in July of 2001 and is an associate professor in the Departments of Neurology & Ophthalmology, and Pharmacology & Toxicology. In 2019, he was named the Associate Dean for Research in the College of Osteopathic Medicine and co-Directs the College’s D.O./Ph.D. Training programs. Dr Goudreau comes with an outstanding background in basic, translational and clinical research. He is a world-renowned physician-scientist with particular focus on Parkinson disease and broad experience as an NIH funded research scientist. While at MSU, he has been PI on multiple clinical trials. Selection of Dr. Goudreau as CTSI director renews the university’s commitment to expand clinical and translational research at MSU. Dr. Goudreau’s unique expertise will help strengthen CTSI’s position as a research institute and professional resource for university investigators seeking out expert and experienced research support. CTSI divisions include the Clinical Research Support Core and the Biomedical Research Informatics Core, both of which provide for the research data needs of investigators from all fields, including database building, storage, security and custom applications development.
