Pre-award Budgeting & Negotiation

CTSI currently provides education and training on budgeting and negotiation to colleges, departments, faculty, and staff through a variety of options including courses presented through Essentials in Research Administration (ERA) and the Financial Administrators Development Program (FADP). Topics include protocol review for cost items, internal cost assessment and hidden costs, application of correct F & A rates, milestone payment budgets, and negotiation of budgets and payment terms. CTSI staff are also available for small group presentations and one-on-one, hands-on training upon request and are just a phone call away when questions arise about clinical research and clinical trials.
