CRSC Services at a Glance

 

 

 Clinical Research Support Core  (CRSC)
 
The mission of CRSC is to assist researchers across the different colleges with development, implementation, management and completion of government and industry funded clinical research and clinical trial projects conducted through MSU and its community partners, to expedite the research administration process, and to facilitate research compliance.
 
 Services

 

Research Support Areas:


• Regulatory Support: MSU IRB and Central IRB submissions
• Coordinator Support: Qualified research coordinators specifically trained to provide efficient study start up, protocol implementation, study management, and study closeout
• Administration: Feasibility analysis, study budget development and negotiation, recruitment support, training of new study staff and ancillary departments for study related activities
• Participant Related Services: Prescreening/eligibility, obtaining informed consent, performing or assisting with required procedures, completing require visit documentation, billing, AE & SAE reporting, phlebotomy support, sample collection and handling
• Recruitment Support: ResearchMatch-A free and secure national volunteer recruitment registry for study feasibility and patient recruitment

• Blood draw station
• Certified biological safety cabinet
• Calibrated centrifugation equipment
• Temperature controlled/monitored
   refrigerator and -20 freezer
• Waiting room
• Outpatient interaction space for exams,
   Interviews, specialized testing, and
   completing questionnaires
• Storage area
